ABOUT ME

I was born in Buckinghamshire in 1995. I grew up in Little Chalfont with my Mum and Dad and my two wonderful older sisters. I've always been a big animal lover and after years of pleading was given my beautiful horse, Maddie, at the age of 12. 18 years later and I'm lucky enough to have her living in my back garden along with my dressage horse Sugar and companion pony Chase.

I moved to Nottingham for university to study Veterinary Medicine. After graduating with my BVMedSci in 2016 I decided on a change of direction to study educational theory. After two years of study, I graduated again in 2018 with a first class post graduate certificate in educational theory.

I have since taken a step back to evaluate what makes me happiest and to try to create a life based around those things. I am never happier than when sat in front of my easel with a messy paint palette or an array of pencils in front of me. This is why I decided to start selling my artwork and taking commissions. I specialise in animal portraiture, which all started with an ambitiously large portrait of my gorgeous Cocker Spaniel, Barney. Since then, I have developed my style and techniques and I'm now able to do what I love creating special portraits of beloved pets.

I moved to Suffolk and into a gorgeous 16th Century cottage with my husband Laurie in 2019. Laurie is a small animal vet surgeon and, along with our university friend Kyle, set up The Woodbridge Vets in 2022.
We moved to a village near Framlingham just 4 weeks after our daughter Dorothy was born in 2024. We are so lucky to have 4 acres here for Dotty and the animals to explore and the beautiful setting is so conducive to nurturing creativity. We share our home with our three dogs, Barney and Darwin and Piper, two rescue cats, Scramble and Egg and two pygmy goats, Cheese and Toast.

I am also a listed judge for British Dressage and enjoy helping out with local Pony Clubs and Riding Clubs.
